B.O.M.B.

Born on the island of Haiti , and trained for life everywhere from Baltimore , to N.Y.C , to Columbus Ohio. At a very young age Bomb had a great passion for all kinds of music from pop, to rock , to hip hop.
Bomb picked up the mic at age 13 but it was all in fun, it didn't become serious until the age of 17. By then his influences were greats like Ice Cube, 2pac Shakur, and Biggie Smalls. Since then Bomb has been signed to Fortress Ent./ Nervous records under JayZ famed producer Charlemagne, Then signed a deal with Independent Charm City Records until finally deciding to start his own company "M.I.B Ent.".
Bomb has sinced released 2 mixtapes, and 1 E.P. Including the hit single "LEAN" which rode the Billboard charts for 5 weeks peaking at number 9, and has performed over 200 shows in two years everywhere from Boston to Atlanta . In 2010 Bomb is "plotting on taking over the world" as he loves to say. With his M.I.B Ent. on track and set to release 4 mixtape style c.d's , 1 full length c.d. , 1 double c.d. and 2 dvd's, all you'll get from Bomb is " It's good to be busy doing what you love " .
Bomb is the complete package. His word play and many flows are Genius, his persona (swagger) is as street as they come, women love him, he loves the stage, his business is just that and it doesn't hurt that he makes hit after hit....

Now that is B.O.M.B's bio that is on his Reverbnation page. http://www.reverbnation.com/#/datboybomb

This is the man as I have come to know him. Bundles On My Block

In July 2006, I received a message from an artist on Myspace. You know the usual come listen to my music. That was how independent artists try and get fans. So I had been hit up by many people all over the US and so I said ok let me go and listen. There were 4 songs on the playlist. At that time that is all they would allow you to post. Usually when I would listen to someone's playlist I would like 1 or maybe even 2 songs but never all 4. As I'm listening to his music, I'm realizing that I really like all 4 songs on there. I hit him back telling him so and added him onto my MySpace.

In January 2007, I met him face to face at his FYE store tour that he was doing. He was going to the FYE stores and promoting his song Lean. Selling it for $2 through FYE and actually meeting people and building a fan base. Through that tour, B.O.M.B. got his spot on the Billboard Music Chart. Debuting at 91 March 17, 2007. It finally peaked at #9 on the Single Sales Chart and was on a total of 3 Billboard chart listings. All of this without the help of local airplay.

Over that year, I kept in contact with him and his music. I went to another in store at Security Square Mall to show my support and took a few pictures of him meeting fans. This was the beginning. I never got to see him perform until I attended the Sonny Brown Benefit show at the Turntable Club in January 2008. This was actually the first time of attending anything in the Baltimore Scene. To see him on the stage and watching the crowd, who I came to realize was like 90% local artists, I felt like I was watching someone in the industry.

Over the years that have followed I attended shows, showing my support and love of his music. Because of that support I had gone to Brooklyn, NY and Manhattan, NY to watch B.O.M.B. perform and win crowds over. I have been to shows in the DMV to see him perform.

Now it has been 4 years since that first internet message and my love and support has grown for B.O.M.B.. It has moved from more than a fan. I am a supporter. I am a secretary. I am advisor. I am a friend. I am family. And that's just fine with me. He knows I'm going to be truthful when it comes to opinions on his music and I'm going to support him the best way I can.

On May 7, 2010, B.O.M.B. got a write up in The Source Magazine. http://www.thesource.com/articles/14360/Bomb/306/S.I.H.H.N In that article he says that he is "plotting on taking over the world". Well personally I can't wait. I have gotten to hear a few of his new music. On his Revernation page you can hear a couple of new tracks that he is sharing with the world. So go give him a listen and I hope that you enjoy his music as much as I do.

Who Is Liezel127 The Baltimore Paparazzi?

Many people know who I am and many only know me as someone they have seen at shows or just know my name because they have seen my watermark on many pictures taken at shows over the past 2 yrs.

So who am I? Where did I come from? What makes me someone who is semi-important in the music scene?

To be honest, I am no one. I am a lover of music. I am someone who speaks their opinion. I am the one who really doesn't pull any punches when it comes to why I like something or why I don't! I believe that everyone has their own opinion about things and if you respect my opinion and then I will respect yours and we can agree to disagree. Not everyone is like that.

Music has been an intricate part of my life. There was always music playing in my house, in the car with my parents, with my aunts and uncles, music was just everywhere in my life! I can remember listening to 8 track tapes and vinyl l records and then cassettes came along and I could record the songs that I really liked and listen to them over and over by pushing rewind. I had tapes and tapes of all kinds of music! Country, rock, pop and then when rap music came along it was a blessing for me. Here was another sound, another way of expression.

I can remember hearing Sugar Hill Gang Rapper's Delight and the only part I knew was Hip hop a hippity hip hip hop......LOL And thinking this is so great. My aunt played a big part in me listening to that song. She was more like a sister because of our closeness in age.

UTFO's Roxanne, Roxanne was the first song that I ever sat there and wrote the lyrics out so I can make sure I was saying the right words. LOL It may sound silly now but at that time that's what I did.

Music is life!! Music can describe how you are feeling. Music can also persuade your feelings. It can make you happy, sad, angry or even confused. So music has always been something that has been apart of my life and my world.

Now how did I get involved with the music scene in Baltimore? Purely by accident. I "blame" B.O.M.B. for it! LOL But in actuality it started before then. In a sense. In 2000, I have a friend that I have known now for over 10 yrs and he is a singer and had a group. He would tell me about recording and how his group didn't even bother with the whole Baltimore scene because there was so many issues with venues and promoters. Hmmm 10 yrs later and the city still has that issue. Anyway, I didn't get too involved at that time but I was well aware of the whole scene.

So with the inception of MySpace, I met a local artists by the name of D.O.G.. I was exchanging messages and even phone calls with him. Making slideshow videos with pictures and his music and posting it up on MySpace and on my Yahoo 360 page! I was getting my friends all over the US and in Canada to at least take a listen to his music and trying to get him support because I was a fan and at that time I felt like we were building a friendship. But I seen exactly what this business was about with that collaboration. Through MySpace I also met Shellbe Raw. I was overall impressed at these local artists.

Fast forward to 2006. In July 2006 I received a message on MySpace from this guy named B.O.M.B.. He just asked me to listen to his music and let me know what I thought. He was just trying to get his fans up. And I had been receiving these messages and would listen to the music and at that time there was only 4 songs at a time you could upload! And I would listen and like 1 out of the 4. So I gave him a listen. This was the first time that I had liked all 4 songs. I hit him back and told him that I really liked the music. At that time he was setting things up for his FYE store tour. So finally in January, I went to Mondawmin Mall and met him. I started out doing what I usually do. Support, posting the music up, getting my friends to listen to his music.

Then I started logging into Shaka's show and giving my thoughts on music because I was just a fan. I wasn't a rapper, singer, a writer, or producer. I was just someone who liked or didn't like something. I was just a fan. No one knew who I was except B.O.M.B.'s fan.

Next came the shows. The very first one I went to was in January 2008. Sonny Brown's Benefit show. This was the first time I got to see, Kane Mayfield, Ogun, Shaka, PX, A Class, Magic of Kartel, and the list goes on and on. The next show was the Club Network Launch party and this was the first time I brought my camera and it wasn't the last time.

In 2008 I went to 60 shows and took over 6,000 pictures. I took pictures of everyone. Posted them on MySpace. In 2009, I went to 41 pictures and was sick most of that year and I was out at these shows. I had back to back pneumonia and even went to NY for a show. But I was still right there at these shows taking pictures. I can't remember how many pictures I took that year. And so far this year, I have take pictures at 29 shows or events like video shoots or hanging out at ARS studio. At the The JumpStart Competition that B.O.M.B. put together on April 22nd I took 635 pictures. Chin-Yer asked me how many artists I have taken pictures of and I told her hundreds! I have taken pictures of local artists, DMV artists, NY artists, RI artists, NJ artists and I'm sure there are others.

Why do I do that? Why do I go and take pictures at the shows? It started out so I could remember who these people were. I could associate a name and face. Then it just became what I do. I love to watch some of these artists on stage and you can see the passion for the art. I like to capture that moment, that love, that passion for the words that they have written.

It has been a blessing and a curse. I feel like if I am taking my time and taking a picture and posting it up and basically showing my appreciation then it doesn't hurt for someone to show me the same in return. I quickly learned that people are really just out for self. So the watermark came about. Then I just stopped taking pictures of everyone who was performing unless it was at a show like the 50 Mics where there were new faces and new people or artists from out of state that I had never heard of. But there are alot of local rappers that don't get the time of day from me. Because I have said it before THANK YOU is only 8 letters and hell you could even abbreviate it but it's the thought that you at least appreciate me standing up there taking these shots.

The whole Baltimore Paparazzi name came about from one artist! Nic Soprano!!!! I was at a show one night and was taking pictures. I walked up to Nic to show him a shot I got of him that he wasn't even aware that I took! He was like Lisa you are like the paparazzi. You get shots of people and they don't even know it! That's your new name the Baltimore Paparazzi! So thank you to Nic Soprano for giving me that name.

Well that's me!! Nothing fancy! Nothing outrageous. Just a lover of music and photographer. Oh an a couple other things....I have a certificate in General Business for Marketing and Advertising. A diploma in Business and Clerical. And hopefully I will get to finish up my Criminal Justice degree that I have been slowly doing for 17 yrs. Life and kids come first. So alot of times when you may think I'm just running off at my mouth or complaining about this or that.....I'm telling you some really good advice. Either you take it or you don't! It really has no effect on me personally because I'm not getting my pockets filled with money. I'm just trying to help you out and possibly get to a point that I can get some extra change in my pocket as well as those around me.

Well that's me. Liezel127 The Baltimore Paparazzi!! A nobody in the scene.
